Whilst many of us have been on holiday, some parish councillors have been busy surveying the drains and gullies around the village (they're not in a great state). This will be a basis for remedial action from volunteers as well as part of an audit that will help to inform Somerset Council what maintenance is needed.

As the summer draws to a close there is plenty of activity in the coming weeks and months, see events listed below.

Classic, Sports and Interesting Vehicles Meeting

11am Sunday 1st September - Village Hall Playing Field

Bring a vehicle, or come and see - FREE ENTRY, Collection in aid of Village Hall

Refreshments available.

Repair Cafe

10am-12 Saturday 7th September - Village Hall

Bus 10C (free for under-18s as well as bus pass holders)

Thursdays 10am Hatch Inn (up to 12th September?)

Spend the morning in Taunton to catch up on errands or meet friends for coffee - this may be your last chance, and if a few more passengers show up it will be sustainable until next year at least.

Parish Council Meeting

7pm Wednesday 11th September - Village Hall

Regular meeting - look out for agenda on noticeboards and online from 6th September. It will include the future of the bus service and the emerging parish council social media policy
