Primary School in the News
Hatch Beauchamp Primary School recently came top of 16 local primary schools in 'Times Tables Rock Stars' an online test for speed and accuracy answering multiplication questions.
Earlier this month the school was visited by Gideon Amos, our local MP, who was impressed with its "uniquely caring atmosphere". See also this Somerset County Gazette article.
Village Tidy Saturday 3rd May
We're holding our next village tidy on Saturday 3 May from 10:00 to 12:00. Come along to the Village Hall and spend a little time helping to smarten up our village, with plenty of chat and the prospect of a cup of coffee/tea with biscuits, to celebrate our work at the end. If you've noticed any areas of the village which need attention, please let us know and we'll add them to our list.
Annual Parish Meeting Wednesday 7th May 7.30pm
This year we will be holding our annual meeting in the Village Hall and all are welcome. Refreshments will be served free of charge. Please don't confuse this with the Parish Council AGM which takes place the week after. As we did last year it will be jointly sponsored by the Parish Council and the Village Hall Committee and we hope to have many local societies represented. The aim is to show what a wide range of activities are run from Hatch Beauchamp and encourage new people to take part, either to enjoy what is provided or to take an active role as a volunteer.
Repair Cafe Saturday 7th June 10am - noon - Village Hall
Another opportunity for you to bring items for repair to save money and reduce unnecessary wastage.
Sponsored by 'Greener Hatch Beauchamp' - more details of craftspeople and technicians who will be on hand to follow.
