Hatch Beauchamp is a small rural village just off the A358 between Taunton and Ilminster, with a population of 650. There is a pub, the Hatch Inn, and Farthing's Country House Hotel.

At the heart of the village is the Lady Alice Gore-Langton Memorial recreation ground and Village Hall, where many village activities take place. There is a small primary school in Station Road.
