Produce Market

The produce market and community café have become a firm fixture in the village calendar since 2010 and is held on the second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Stallholders include the award winning ‘The Sausage Shed’ providing not just an amazing variety of sausages but a great choice of meat products. Cakes, bakes and preserves are provided for sale by Carole Temblett, fresh veg and fruit from Stan, bedding plants from Mike Hutchings of North Curry and Somerset honey from Simon Jones apiary.  We also occasionally have tombolas, raffles, bric a brac and craft stalls.

The market is very well supported by the villagers of Hatch Beauchamp and visitors from the surrounding towns and villages.

Our community café is extremely popular offering freshly brewed coffee, tea, bacon, egg and sausage butties, homemade cheese scones and an array of cakes. The community café is run each month by one of the local organisations i.e. Hatch Beauchamp Village Hall Committee, St John’s Church, HATS (Hatch Amateur Theatre Society), Hatch Beauchamp WI and Hatch Beauchamp and Neroche Garden Club and profits made in the kitchen go directly to their organisation. Income from the hire of tables (£5 per table) rented to the producers has been a valuable source of income for the village hall along with the sales of second hand books which are always available.

If you would like further details about hiring a table then please contact Donna Davies, market coordinator on 07955 169013.

Do pop in and see us. You can be assured of a very warm Hatch Beauchamp welcome….it’s guaranteed!
